8       Yumbarra Conservation Park – Draft Proclamation - Mining - Motion re

The Minister for Environment and Heritage, pursuant to notice, moved - That this House requests His Excellency the Governor to make a proclamation under section 43(2) of the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1972 that declares that rights of entry, prospecting, exploration and mining under the Mining Act 1971 may be acquired and exercised in respect of that proportion of the Yumbarra Conservation Park being Section 457, north out of Hundreds, county of Way (Fowler); and that a message be sent to the Legislative Council requesting its concurrence thereto.

Ordered, on motion of Mr Hill, that the debate be adjourned until tomorrow.

 

9       Whaling Act Repeal Bill

The Minister for Environment and Heritage, pursuant to notice, moved - That she have leave to introduce a Bill for an Act to repeal the Whaling Act 1937.

The Minister for Environment and Heritage, pursuant to notice, moved - That she have leave to introduce a Bill for an Act to amend the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1985.
