1       Meeting of House

         The House met pursuant to adjournment. The Speaker (Hon Peter Lewis) took the Chair and read prayers.

 

2       Petition No 11

         The Clerk announced that the following Member had lodged a Petition for presentation:

 

11   Hon G M Gunn, from 320 residents of Waikerie and surrounding area, requesting the House to urge the Government to maintain Obstetric Surgical and other services currently available in Riverland Hospitals and that these services not be restricted to one Riverland Regional Hospital as proposed by Professor Carol Gaston.

         Ordered, on motion of the Minister for Employment, Training and Further Education (Hon S W Key), that the debate be further adjourned and resumed on motion.

 

7       Suspension and resumption of sitting

         At 5.58 pm the sitting of the House was suspended.

         At 7.30 pm the Speaker resumed the Chair.

         Ordered – That the adjourned debate on the question – That the draft Address be adopted – be now resumed.

         Debate resumed.

         Ordered, on motion of Mr Koutsantonis, that the debate be further adjourned until tomorrow.
