                    Notices of Motion:  Government Business-


                  The Premier to move - That he have leave to introduce a Bill for an Act to amend the State Disaster Act 1980 and to make consequential amendments to the Local Government Act 1934, the State Emergency Service Act 1987 and the Summary Offences Act 1953.


                  The Deputy Premier to move - That a Message be sent to the Legislative Council requesting that the Minister for Education and Children's Services (Hon. R.I. Lucas), the Attorney-General (Hon. K.T. Griffin) and the Minister for Transport (Hon. D.V. Laidlaw), Members of the Legislative Council be permitted to attend and give evidence before the Estimates Committees of the House of Assembly on the Appropriation Bill.


                  The Minister for Infrastructure to move - That this House refers to the Environment, Resources and Development Committee for review, regulations made pursuant to the Electricity Trust of South Australia Act 1946 in so far as they define the requirements for vegetation clearance distance around power lines on public land in non-bushfire-risk areas in the Adelaide metropolitan council areas.

                    Notice of Motion: Government Business-


                  The Premier to move - That the House-

                  (a)     notes that in 1991 the Parliament of the Commonwealth unanimously enacted the Council for Aboriginal Reconciliation Act 1991 to promote a process of reconciliation between the indigenous and wider Australian communities;

                  (b)     supports the concept of constructive reconciliation between indigenous and wider Australian communities, and

                  (c)     in acknowledgment of this support, adopts the vision of the Council for Aboriginal Reconciliation, namely, `a united Australia which respects this land of ours; values the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander heritage; and provides justice and equity for all' as a vision shared by this House.

                  Mr Becker to move - That the Tenth Report of the Economic and Finance Committee (Annual Report) be noted.

                  Hon. J.K.G. Oswald to move - That this House notes the outstanding achievements of the Australian Commonwealth Games Team, in particular the South Australian athletes, and congratulates them on their performance in winning a record 182 medals in Victoria, Canada.


                  Mr Brindal to move - That this House congratulates the Australian Rowing Team and in particular the South Australian Sports Institute representatives, for their performances at the Commonwealth Championship Regatta in Canada in August.
