The Governor informs the House of Assembly that, in the name and on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen, the following Act has been assented to during the present Session, viz:

No 1 of 1997 - An Act to amend the Pulp and Paper Mill (Hundreds of Mayurra and Hindmarsh) Act 1964.

6       Grievance debate

         The Speaker proposed - That the House note grievances.

         Debate ensued.

7       Select Committee on Yumbarra Conservation Park Re-proclamation

Order of the Day read for the Report of the Select Committee to be brought up.

The Treasurer moved - That the time for bringing up the Report be extended until Thursday 6 March.

Question put and passed.

 

8       Supply Bill - Grievance debate

Order of the Day read for the adjourned debate on the question - That the Speaker do now leave the Chair and the House resolve itself into a Committee of the whole for consideration of the Bill.

The Minister for Employment, Training and Further Education (Hon D C Kotz) moved - That the House do now adjourn.

The Treasurer to move - That he have leave to introduce a Bill for an Act to amend the Judges’ Pensions Act 1971, the Parliamentary Superannuation Act 1974 the Police Superannuation Act 1990, the Southern State Superannuation Act 1994 and the Superannuation (Benefit Scheme) Act 1992.

         Notice of Motion: Other Motions-

 

Mrs Rosenberg to move - That this House recognises the achievements of Surf Life Saving South Australia in winning the National Volunteer Involvement Programme award received in Canberra on 6 December 1996 and expresses its appreciation for the service provided to this State and its support into the future.
