The Clerk informed the House of the absence of the Speaker.

4       Petitions Nos 42 to 44

         The Clerk announced that the following Members had lodged Petitions for presentation:

 

42 & 43       Mr Brokenshire and Mrs Thompson, from 1263 residents of South Australia, requesting the House provide intensive care facilities at Noarlunga Hospital.

 

44   Mrs Hall, from 54 residents of South Australia, requesting the House to urge the Government to withdraw the proposal to introduce a law against religious discrimination and vilification.

The Minister for Transport (Hon M J Wright) , pursuant to notice, moved - That he have leave to introduce a Bill for an Act to amend the Harbors and Navigation Act 1993, the Motor Vehicles Act 1959 and the Road Traffic  Act 1963.
