 1            Meeting of House

               The House met pursuant to adjournment.  The Speaker (Hon. N.T. Peterson) took the

                    Chair and read prayers.

 

 2            Petitions Nos 22 and 23

               The Clerk announced that the following Members had lodged Petitions for presentation:

 

               22  Mr S.J. Baker, from 613 residents of South Australia, requesting that the House urge the

                    Government to provide special trains and buses for free travelling passengers during school travelling times and retain existing numbers of guards.

 

               23  Mr S.J. Baker, from 378 residents of South Australia, requesting that the House urge the

                    Government to restrict juvenile access to materials used for graffiti, restrict free student travel on public transport and increase penalties for juvenile offenders.

 

 3            Joint Committee on Subordinate Legislation - Minutes of Proceedings

               Mr McKee, by leave, brought up the Joint Committee on Subordinate Legislation Minutes of

                    Proceedings of 14 August.

               Minutes received.

 

 4            Joint Committee on Subordinate Legislation - Minutes of Evidence

               Mr McKee brought up the Minutes of Evidence given before the Joint Committee on

                    Subordinate Legislation on the City of Kensington and Norwood - Historic Conservation Zone Supplementary Development Plan.

               Minutes received.

 

 5            Questions

               Questions without notice were asked.

 

 6            Postponement of business

               Ordered - That Notice of Motion (Government Business) No. 1 be a Notice of Motion for

                    Tuesday 19 August.

 7            Aboriginal Lands Trust, Section 1278 Out of Hundreds (Copley), Transfer - Motion re

               The Minister of Lands (Hon. S.M. Lenehan), pursuant to notice, moved - That this House

                    resolves to recommend to Her Excellency the Governor, that pursuant to section 16 (1) of the Aboriginal Lands Trust Act 1966, Section 1278 Out of Hundreds (Copley) be transferred to the Aboriginal Lands Trust; and that a message be sent to the Legislative Council transmitting the foregoing resolution and requesting its concurrence thereto.

               Ordered, on motion of Mr Lewis, that the debate be adjourned until tomorrow.

 

 8            Aboriginal Lands Trust, Sections 160 and 166, Hundred of Wanilla, Transfer - Motion re

               The Minister of Lands, pursuant to notice, moved - That this House resolves to recommend to

                    Her Excellency the Governor that, pursuant to section 16 (1) of the Aboriginal Lands Trust Act 1966, Sections 160 and 166, Hundred of Wanilla be transferred to the Aboriginal Lands Trust; and that a message be sent to the Legislative Council transmitting the foregoing resolution and requesting its concurrence thereto.

               Ordered, on motion of Mr Blacker, that the debate be adjourned until tomorrow.

10           Select Committee on the Housing Co-operatives Bill

               The Minister of Housing and Construction (Hon. M.K. Mayes) brought up the Report of the

                    Select Committee on the Housing Co-operatives Bill (Paper No. 152), together with Minutes of Proceedings and Evidence.

               Ordered - That consideration of the Report be an Order of the Day for tomorrow.

 

11           Address in Reply

               Order of the Day read for the adjourned debate on the question - That the Address in Reply

                    be adopted.

               Debate resumed.

               Ordered, on motion of Hon. T.H. Hemmings, that the debate be further adjourned until

                    tomorrow.

 

12           Adjournment

               The Minister of Transport (Hon. F.T. Blevins) moved - That the House do now adjourn.

               Debate ensued.

               Question put and passed.
