Council met pursuant to adjournment.  The President (The Hon. R. K. Sneath) took the Chair.

PRESIDENT - The House of Assembly has passed the Bill transmitted herewith, entitled an Act relating to higher education, vocational education and training, adult community education, and education services for overseas students; to establish the Training and Skills Commission; to repeal the Training and Skills Development Act 2003; to make related amendments to the Fair Work Act 1994; and for other purposes, to which it desires the concurrence of the Legislative Council.
