Council met pursuant to adjournment.  The President (The Hon. R. K. Sneath) took the Chair.

The Hon. R. P. Wortley brought up the Report of the Environment, Resources and Development Committee, 2004-2005, on the Upper South East Dryland Salinity and Flood Management Act 2002, pursuant to section 43(1)(d) of the Act.

   3.

The Minister for Environment and Conservation (The Hon. G. E. Gago) tabled a copy of a Ministerial Statement made by the Minister for the River Murray (The Hon. K. A. Maywald, M.P.) concerning the Recent Murray-Darling Basin Ministerial Council Meeting in Melbourne.

The Minister for Environment and Conservation tabled a copy of a Ministerial Statement made by the Premier (The Hon. M. D. Rann, M.P.) concerning World Environment Day.

   5.

The Minister for Police, without notice, moved - That the Standing Orders be so far suspended as to enable Question Time to be extended to enable the Hon. S. M. Kanck to ask a question of the Minister for Environment and Conservation and for the Minister to complete her reply.

                 Question put and passed, without a dissentient voice, there being present an absolute majority of the whole number of Members of the Council.
