Committee Function

To inquire into and report on improving men's health and wellbeing, with particular reference to:

(a) the current state of men's health and wellbeing, changes over time, including differences amongst different cohorts;

(b) the availability and access to services and supports, including barriers to access and hesitancy in accessing services;

(c) the impacts of health distrust on men's health and wellbeing;

(d) the role of digital platforms and algorithms in targeting men and fast-tracking their exposure to content that results in perverse health outcomes;

(e) the effectiveness of government policies and initiatives to support men's health and wellbeing, and opportunities for improvements;

(f) the role of community, sporting, and other social groups in supporting good health and wellbeing for men;

(g) supporting families to improve men's health and wellbeing;

(h) how to develop positive masculinity amongst boys and men to develop and support good health and wellbeing; and

(i) any related matters.
