The Committee was established by the Premier (Hon. Peter Malinauskas) on 16 September 2024 to oversee a series of events to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the decriminalisation of male homosexuality in South Australia. While not a Parliamentary Committee, the Committee comprised the following Members of Parliament:

The Committee coordinated a number of activities to commemorate the anniversary, including a reenactment of the 1975 debates at Parliament House on 2 October 2025.
