PARLIAMENTARY INQUIRY INTO THE URBAN FOREST
The Department for Infrastructure and Transport (the Department) is committed
to addressing climate change and recognises it has a significant role to play in
supporting the key objective for accelerated urban greening expressed in the
South Australian Government Climate Change Action Plan 2021-25 and
Metropolitan Adelaide’s increased canopy cover target by 2045.

SELECT COMMITTEE ON PUBLIC AND ACTIVE TRANSPORT
A Select Committee of the Legislative Council has been established to inquire into and
report on Public and Active Transport with particular reference to:
(a) The availability and quality of public transport, including:
i. infrastructure and services in metropolitan and regional areas;
ii. the impact of fares and frequency;
iii. the efficacy and impacts of on-demand public transport; and
iv. re-activation of passenger and freight rail lines in regional South
Australia.
