Section 47EAA(2)(b)
proposes to empower police to take a blood test for all types of drugs where they have
reasonable cause to suspect that driving under the influence, with the prescribed
concentration of alcohol, or involvement in an accident, has occurred in the preceding 3
hours, based upon:
• Random breath testing pursuant to Section 47E of the Road Traffic Act;
• Driver Screening Test stations pursuant to Section 47DA of the Road Traffic Act
