So yes, βthere are still issues with the way we went about legalising medicinal cannabisβ but these
issues have already been addressed in the 2019 Federal Inquiry into the Barriers to Medical

Since April 2021 60 applications for s18A authority to prescribe medicinal cannabis have been
refused:
β’ The majority (55) of applications were refused because further information requested was
not provided.
