Committee Function

To examine and make recommendations in respect of DETE funded schools, with particular reference to:
[a] current local school management models, including Partnerships 21 and possible alternative models and strategies;

[b] retention rates;

[c] the requirements of children with special needs;

[d] the particular needs of children in the various geographical areas of South Australia;

[e] the appropriateness or other wise of the retention of the present school leaving age, or any school leaving age;

[f] the basis of employment and placement of teachers by schools;

[g] school fees and any other DETE education matter that the Committee may wish to consider.
