Committee Function

To investigate matters relating to the environment, landuse conservation and transport.

[a] to inquire into, consider and report on such of the following matters as are referred to it under this Act:

  1. any matter concerned with the environment or how the quality of the environment might be protected or improved;
  2. any matter concerned with the resources of the State or how they might be better conserved or utilised;
  3. any matter concerned with planning, land use or transportation;
  4. any matter concerned with the general development of the State;

[b] to perform such other functions as are imposed on the Committee under this or any other Act or by resolution of both Houses.
