Committee Function

A Select Committee of the Legislative Council of South Australia has been established to inquire into and report on the Shop Trading Hours (Miscellaneous) Amendment Bill 2002.

The purpose of the Bill is to amend the Shop Trading Hours Act 1977 and to make a related amendment to the Retail and Commercial Leases Act 1995. The Committee has been granted powers to consider new clauses in relation to amendment of the Industrial and Employee Relations Act 1994 and the Retail and Commercial Leases Act 1995 and to report on the economic and industrial impact of the Bill on both employees and employers.
