  • The Attorney-General stated the purpose of the Committee would be to, ‘make the operations of statutory authorities more open to detailed scrutiny to determine the desirability of their continuation and the propriety of their activities and actions’1 Reports of the Committee Since the Committee was formed in 1994, it has published 55 reports, covering the operations of particular authorities and examining issues of significance to all statutory bodies.
