It is an issue for us that if people offend on the train we
want to give information to the police that they can use.
8 The PRESIDING MEMBER: Indeed, the Mawson Lakes footage cameras recently
ran on the Twitter feed and the SA Police Facebook site, and people were contributing from the
local community to get the two people who were graffitiing in those areas.

· the launch of the EPA Twitter account (now with 452 followers)
· successful publication and promotion of the 2013 State of the Environment Report
· progress on the redevelopment of the EPA website
· the Board’s annual engagement program (detailed below)

· staff training and development in risk communications and community engagement.

Functions of the Committee
Pursuant to section 9 of the Act the terms of reference for the Committee are:
(a) to inquire into, consider and report on such of the following matters
as are referred to it under this Act:

of the environment might be protected or improved;
(ii) any matter concerned with the resources of the State or how
they might be better conserved or utilised;
(iii) any matter concerned with planning, land use or
transportation;
(iv) any matter concerned with the general development of the
State;
(b) to perform such other functions as are imposed on the Committee
