Forensic Science South Australia Forensic Science South Australia provides a wide range of forensic science and pathology services across the following operational areas: • Biology - examination of biological trace evidence, DNA analysis of body fluids and related materials • Chemistry & materials – examination and analysis of physical and chemical trace evidence (eg paint, glass, firearm and explosives residues), analysis of illicit drugs (eg street seizures, clandestine laboratories, botanical identification of cannabis plants and crops) and examination of documents and handwriting • Pathology: post mortem examination • Toxicology: analysis of blood and tissue samples for drugs and poisons.
